Monarca Open – short résumé

Yesterday was the last day of the annual classic Monarca Open, here in Valle de Bravo, Mexico.  At the beginning of the comp I was feeling out of shape, but progressively got more and more in sync with the air and the Valle playground terrain, where I like racing so much, getting in the three comp days we had 5th, 3rd, and yesterday 1st place. Out of 3 Monarcas I’ve done, I think I have 7 wins out of 15 tasks, a percentage I enjoy maintaining, even if allowing it to decrease slightly in this edition. So finally in this one I finished 3rd overall, just slightly trailing Pepe Malecki, but quite a few points behind Maxime Pinot, our current World Cup Champion soon-to-try-to-defend-his-title in the next couple of weeks, who deservedly won the competition in style. Congratulations to both for the good performance!
To finish it off, we made another heavy, quality Valle party with lots of friends, Pal Taksts dj-ing the second half of it like a boss. Thanks for the good music, man!
Next: World Cup Super Final starting Wednesday right here.
